Next week “SHOES”

definition: CANDY – A more or less solid article of confectionery -oftentimes with nuts *hint*!! ::choke:: Oops, excuse me!! Ahhhhhh, ::shrugging:: “Who cares” – “When you get to be my age, talk like this is a given!” “Isn’t it?” “Around here, it is anyway!!

No nuts here…but there is a warning label that states manufactured where nuts are used —don’t know what that means ::giggles::, but in any case…candy!

Easy as one two three!! In fact, three is a serving size. And I say to this, that’s malarkey! Get real…one serving is more like 1/2 bag!!!! At least. And one more thing?——I bought this bag just to have something for the hunt! No, really!! :::hiding my crossed fingers behind my back::: Honest!!! And then, more importantly…..

A sweet confection with perhaps some goobers mixed in for the following? You decide!!

EYE CANDY with the above mentioned additive!!!
This is the program that I’ve saved, in my drawers um….stashed in my chest errrr….in a secret compartment, along with the ticket stubs to Rod Stewart’s Live Concert from 4 years ago! Bud can confirm this – I wouldn’t put our house in Tucson on the market to move to Texas until we got to SEE Rod Baby, Live…and in concert. The event was in August, I had tickets way in advance, AND we didn’t put the house up for sale until the first of September. There was no way, in H E double L, I was gonna miss this!!!

Yes, eye candy.

Friday we went to the opening showing of the newly released movie, Narnia: Prince Caspian. To tell the truth, I vaguely recalled the movie we saw [and have the DVD] that was released in 2005 – “the lion witch and wardrobe” of the series. But, I do remember mostly it was good. LOL As I and Bud love movies, we’ve waited patiently for a well-written movie to be released since the writer’s strike months ago. AND! We’re anxiously awaiting the one coming to town on Thursday of this following week…Indiana Jones! ::humming the theme as I type!:: I. J. and the Crystal Skull looks promising from what I’ve seen in previews, and it perhaps will close the book on a ‘love interest of Indy -Marion- and perhaps introduce us to a ‘new’ Jones…Jr., Jr.!!

Anyway, back to Narnia. It was excellent. I liked this one a LOT better than the first one. I think it had more of a story than the first one too. At least I could understand and follow this one much better. Of course if I hadn’t seen the Lion Witch and Wardrobe first, I would not have known what the heck was going on from the beginning. I must say this one, from the train depot through the adventure [as the mouse says in the movie, "Humans have no imagination!"] and back to the train depot at the end, excellent. The music was great. I don’t think it ever ‘skipped a beat’ with the action. The special effects and the creatures were superb to my estimation. Loved the Narnian ‘tricks’ during the battle and the underground stint…it was clever, and made me want to cheer, of course, ’cause the bad guys were getting their armour skunked. The kids have grown a bit, but still the same cast along with a newbie, the Prince of Caspian. I applaud C. S. Lewis. I’ve never read the book series, but after seeing the 2nd one I’m inclined to sit down and read them someday real soon.

Sunday’s blog entry for me is a busy one!! I have a meme I found at Melli’s, the funny Sunday Snippet, the Unconscious Mutterings, and an award I made for a special friend. And a little note to all three who are my Pay It Forward boogers recipients….So let me get started:

I read Melli’s take on this meme, and after doing it in two parts since it was kinda long…it’s done! That was fun. I loved the photo I got when I typed in my answer for the current mood!!! [to get the rules, click on Melli's link here...it's all there. I confess, I was lazy and forgot there were rules, so didn't copy them]

I’m finally getting my Pay It Forward packages readied for shipping!! I began looking around for things for each individual and kinda gave up. Even if I read the ladies’ blogs I still really never got a ‘drift’ of what they DON’T like vs. what they DO like. So, I opted to find a little something of the same idea/concept for each. In other words, more or less identical in concept but still different. Besides, I always feel that favoritism works into this, and I don’t want any lady to feel cheated. But they’re now ready to ship…just have to get to the Post Office. That’s the main thing right now. It’s NOT one of my favorite places. Anyway, Jo, Mo, and Jenn —hopefully by the time the month of April is over they’ll be on their way!!! And I truly hope you’ll enjoy the little things I found for you all. Happy Pay It Forward!!! AND—to you three, keep an eye on my sidebar. When the check mark by your name on my pay it forward list turns GREEN, it’s a ‘go’…they’ve been sent!!!

And last but certainly not least:

This is an award I would like to pass onto Mary @ Mary’s Writing Nook! It’s a new award made by me, and I wanted to pass it on first to Mary…we, in my mind, being of kindred spirits. She and I have so much in common and we find more and more familiarities daily. With this Kindred Spirit Award, I try to convey the spirit of friendship. Her generosity and self worth is beyond compare. She is a giving, loving, wife, mother and grandmother. Thanks for being a good blogging friend!!! I want to pass on to others in time [each an individual 'award' -different], but Mary just had to be the first ever to receive one. I had her in mind when I designed this. The intention behind this is not to pass it on by those who receive it…I want it to have a very special, personal distinction, for each individual. It means a lot to me in doing acts of kindness and giving a little of my time, when I can find time[!] to others who are so willing to give of themselves, unconditionally! May your kindness be everlasting Mary!!

BE on the lookout for other recipients soon!!
