“If I can but reach that bridge,” thought Ichabod, ” I am safe.” Just then he heard the black steed panting and blowing close behind him; he even fancied that he felt his hot breath. Another convulsive kick in the ribs, and old Gunpowder sprang upon the bridge; he thundered over the resounding planks; he gained the opposite side; and now Ichabod cast a look behind to see if his pursuer should vanish, according to rule, in a flash of fire and brimstone. Just then he saw the goblin rising in his stirrups, and in the very act of hurling his head at him. Ichabod endeavored to dodge the horrible missile, but too late. It encountered his cranium with a tremendous crash, –he was tumbled headlong into the dust, and Gunpowder, the black steed, and the goblin rider, passed by like a whirlwind.”

We’ll be heading up north to San Antonio real early Monday as you read this, so I won’t be participating in Fun Monday this week since I won’t have time to visit the players’ blogs. Thanks go out to the hostess tho….I’ve hosted the Monday meme and I know it takes a lot of time and a great deal of effort to make it successful. Anyway, we have some legal business to take care of up there, and we will leave before the sun rises to avoid a whole lot of traffic! It’s another nasty city to drive in during the rush hour. We’ll eat breakfast in S A and then do the stuff we have to do and turn around and come back home. Still, it’ll seem like an ‘all day effort’ before we’re done.

But I wanted to not forget the Halloween treat hand outs!! This Monday blog is pre scheduled to post early on Sunday evening so I can allow myself time to visit the treat recipients before tomorrow….

First off, before I get to handing out treats, this is a project I did a couple of weeks ago and finished for the ‘holiday’. As I love the story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and I really like the old depressed wooden signs I see in book illustrations and art work [lithographs] of that era where they’re hanging from the eaves of “ye olde shoppes” & wanted to make my own. For Halloween no less! I chose “Sleepy Hollow Tavern”…sketched a primitive looking horse and then added the Headless Horseman. It says on it:

“Have a Drink and Grab a Bite…For the Headless Horseman Rides Tonight!” After finishing it, I then added a coat of satin varnish to add ‘age’. Bud put the chain on it with hooks and then when it was dried, and the 1st of October, I hung it from the ceiling on the edge of the cupboards in the kitchen. Just think of what Icabod Crane would do if he rode up and saw this…would he enter? Here is the finished ‘look’ of it as it now hangs on the cupboard wall. I really wanted to do some more work decorating around it. Maybe I still will, but it depends on time. I was thinking of getting some smaller tree branches and painting them black, then, surround the one side of the sign with the branches. Maybe I’ll go to Hobby Lobby and get one of the grapevine swags and spray paint it black. Who knows, like I said, time permitting. It may be Halloween before I get to the task, if so, then I will do it next year. Thank goodness there is always next year —-

- – -

All righty then, for today’s trick or treaters, I’ve started using this new ‘treat’ for the week. I’m handing them out for commentors to my blog who leave ME treats this month with their kind words. Don’t be dismayed, I plan on handing them out daily. Only take them if your name appears for the day—

So, check back often, you’re name may show up here!
To begin my traditional fun, as I love Halloween, today the trick ‘r’ treaters are:

Carolyn
Mommy Wizdom [the FM hostess this week!
Gattina
Susie

And the treat this week will be:

If you'd like to save this, click on it to enlarge...you'll then be able to grab the treat and run! Happy October, Happy Halloween.

It's a new month...it's time to highlight another Blogger Over 50! And this month, with the number generator, I used the total of the members which is 131!! And between 0-131, the first number on the top of the list was number 87. Scrolling down to the member #87 [hoping I counted correctly] is one of the ‘newer members’: Pea’s Corner. How ’bout that? Go say howdy to our ever-loving, cheerful, sweet Pea.

It’s another month, time to highlight another Blogger Over 50!! I caught the idea of a random number generator from Mary and Pea, and I decided to use this method of choosing a member’s blog from the blog roll. Personally, I think it is a much more ‘correct’ way of choosing. No sides taken…no way to hurt anyone’s feelings. Tho, in time, I hope to highlight all, since I think ALL the blog roll members are outstanding!! In the meantime, I used the random number and since on the day I used it, the list of members was 119!! I typed in that number clicked ‘generate’ and the top number that came up was number sixty-five [65]. Counting down the alphabetical list, I landed on MAREMAGNUM, who happens to be #65!!

Congrats Mar!! Your blog is highlighted for September 2008. Here is your ‘prize’ logo. [click on the graphic then save]. Your blog will be listed with the monthly highlighted blogs so far; at the home site for the blog roll, Bloggers Over 50.

And visitors, if you’ve not viewed Mar’s blog you’re missing out on a terrific one! She has fabulous photos, and her unique ideas for meme participation are super. Go pay her a visit!

Hurricane Ike update:

Well, this morning, as like last night’s news, the eye will hopefully stay away from our roof. Heading more to a northerly path. The black line in these graphics from NHC shows where the predicted eye will fall….when it makes landfall. This particular one for a 5AM Wednesday update is showing around the Victoria/Port Lavaca area. About 50-60 miles from Corpus Christi and perhaps 150-160 miles from downtown Houston. But, still one never knows….Mother Nature may have Ike turn…. Either case, with this pattern, we’ll get a LOT of rain and high winds!!! Depending on his strength by landfall, we still may have category 1 force winds in our area!!!

This is a heavy blog entry with lots of stuff. I’ll do the Thursday 13 first, then there is the Over 50 Bloggers Highlighted Blog for the month of August and a phone conversation with my son…all follows:

edition #72

When our kids were small and mostly on weekends where the snow was ‘ass deep to a tall man’…when they were forced to stay indoors because of blizzard conditions and bored out of their minds….well, I most often refused to let them sit in front of the TV and become zombie like. I wanted to stimulate them. And we’d make a game of it. Irene now does it with her boys. And Erik? Well, he’ll point out words to me when he’s around and does it oftentimes, still to this day. It’s something good they remember from their childhood days.

The thing I did with them, and we made a game of it…the winner wouldn’t have to do dishes, or they could chose the dessert…things like that. I’d pick out words I found in a book I was reading, or the newspaper and I’d challenge them to come up with five letter words [or more] that also contain the same exact letters in the word/s I chose. I’d give them half an hour for a time limit. Whoever came up with the most was declared winner!! And again, for stimulation, I would set the egg timer for 30 minutes…kinda like “Jeopardy” with the syncopated clock music. The kids would try harder knowing that that timer was gonna go off any second….

I’d then play ‘teacher’ and go through their lists to make sure there were no doubled letters which would disqualify that in the count…and see who won this particular time. On some occasions there would be words on their lists that didn’t even exist…which made for a lot of fun too!! Even today, there is a quote picked up from those days…”When in doubt, and an ‘e’” – Erik continually added “e’s” to words, his spelling was something that needed help and he’d always say “When in doubt……” So now Bud will spell a word or some such thing and he too will say “When in doubt and an ‘e’”. You have to be here.

So, I challenged myself today…I’m using the letters in the words THURSDAY THIRTEEN. And I’m going to attempt to come up with fourteen – and, hopefully with only thirteen correct words & one in error [insert crossed fingers I did it right] using five letters or more from this.

[rules state that I cannot use the letter more than it appears -the letters I can use are T-H-U-R-S-D-A-Y-T-H-I-R-T-E-E-and N]

1] untrue
2] thirsty
3] trusty -trusted
4] rushed
6] trident
7] stride
8] death
9] artsy
10] attend
11] sturdy
12] threat
13] hushed
14] harsh

can you spot the one in error, and why it’d be considered wrong?

I get this email you see. And a whole night of chatting on the phone begins.

First things first. The email. [excuse the language and if you're upset with the reference to grubby and such ---my apologies, I'm just going with the flow of the conversation and it may also not reflect my preferences either!]

Who is the grubby ass turd that sings “What would you do if I sang outta tune”?

- – - -

…and so it begins. Hours upon hours of phone calls, emails, and sitting in the living room trying to figure it all out.

My reply to his email?

That’s a Beatles song! Are you thinking perhaps of Ringo Starr? He always looked grubby!

This took place after I opened my family email account around 4 – 4:30 PM. Then, around 7 PM I get a call from him. And what follows is as close to true as I can remember–

Ring…ring….
me picking up the cellphone and flipping it up to answer:
“Yo” [I have picture ID so I knew it was sonny boy!]
“Good Morning. You up?” [it's nighttime, but he always says 'good morning']
“Ya, I’m still awake. You just getting off work?”
“I’m on my way into Starbucks for my green tea, read a bit, then head for home.”
“So, who is that grubby guy? It’s not the Beatles, any of them, I know them! This guy is grubby. So grubby he makes Willie Nelson look clean. And he butchers the song; what did you say the name of it was?” [I hear his laptop keys clicking away as I answer...]
“It’s ‘I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends’. I think, actually, Paul McCartney wrote it, not sure tho.”

….he’s typing in the title as he speaks more:

“This guy was on 60 Minutes last year, promoting his new autobiography or biography, ‘My Life, Volume I’ like as if he’s going to get a chance for Volume II.”
“Old. Like maybe 65 or so.”
“Like he hasn’t showered for months!”

I respond:

“Oh really? And this helps me in what way?”

He chuckles:

“I know you know who he is. He makes Willie Nelson look clean. About the same age, long dark hair, and it’s none of the Beatles. But around that era.”

I ask:

“Is he a country singer?”
“No…he’s a rock star. A guitarist.”
My next question would then be:
“And I know this dude, huh? What’s he look like? Any special features?”
“Well when he’s on stage, it’s just him. And most times wears dark glasses I think. At least I’ve seen him on video wearing shades. Either you like him and Dad doesn’t or the other way around.”

—hmmmmmmmmmm

“Joe Cocker also recorded that song, are you thinking of him? No wait, he doesn’t have dark hair.” [so I answered my own question and follow with another] “Where are you?”
“Right here, where are you?”
“You know what I mean…are you searching Google?”
“No, I’m in Wikipedia right now. Typing in the song title.”
“Try typing in his book title and see what you get.”

the keyboard is heard in the background…

“No such book. Maybe it isn’t titled ‘My Life Volume I’”.
“Type in list of Rock Guitarists of the 70′s. You should then at least get a list of names.”

…typing

“Okay, we have a list….#1 is Eric Clapton, it’s not him. And I wouldn’t have Eric Clapton on the number one spot. He would be way down on my list.”
“Slash is #44…he’d be at least #4 on my own list.”
“Chuck Berry…….some of these guys I’ve not even heard of.”

“Do any sound familiar to you?”
“Type in 60 minutes entertainer guests”….
As he types that in, Bud chortles “I know…Steve Tyler!”
So, I relay to Erik ‘Steve Tyler’.
“Who’s that….ohhhhh! STEPHEN Tyler. Dad must know him personally, I guess he can call him ‘Steve’ instead of Stephen.”

I say to myself and repeating all the clues to Bud:

“Old, grubby, guitarist, white, makes Willie Nelson look clean, wears sunglasses on stage sometimes, very popular back when, wrote a book.”

Bud shrugs and continues watching the Astros’ game.

“Well, my dear, I’ll continue to think about it tonight, and if I figure out who he is, I’ll email you. I’ve got to watch the ‘stros get their butts whomped again and finish my dinner, it’s getting cold. The Brewers have scored already….”
“Ya, I best go besides. I’ve got an orientation meeting tomorrow for the new semester. And then, I’ll probably start preparing for the first day teaching class. I won’t know how many students I’ll have yet, but I want to be prepared.”
“Okay. Drive home safely. Have a good night.”
“Ya, seeya!”

—-
But for me it doesn’t stop there. After I hung up, while watching the game, my mind was elsewhere. Trying to figure out who the old, dark haired guitarist was. Y’know things like that bug me. And I knew sleep wouldn’t come to me until I figured out just who he meant.

Dark hair….old, 60ish. Rock guitarist. Butchers songs…..
Jeff Beck!!!!
So, on the 1st commercial break, I’m off like a ‘herd of turtles’….going in on the ‘net. Typing in ‘photo of Jeff Beck’. I grab the photo and open an email….paste the photo into the email window and send it off.

Back to the game…

Next commercial I check my email. No response. He’s probably too busy preparing for his meeting tomorrow. But no response. And I know when he’s online his email alerts him. So, it must not have been the guy….dang.

As I walk back to the living room, it hits me!!!

I yell….”I know!!! I know who he’s talking about now!”

So I turn around and open the email again….
In the box with bold letters I type….
Is it Bob Dylan?!!!
Within minutes, he replies….
“Yep that’s the dude!!!”

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, I can sleep soundly now!!!

[Astros got beat. I slept well. And neither Bud nor I are impressed with Bob Dylan! Oh, and googling, I find that his biography is Chronicles, Volume I!!!! No wonder he couldn't find anything!] It’s funny how something comes to mind and you get obsessed with it…to the point a whole afternoon and part of an evening is working on figuring it all out.

A little of this, and a little of that for this entry, along with the Thursday Thirteen [below] and highlighting a blog from Bloggers Over 50 ….

Well, I’m thinking the worst is over for us, as I type this on Wednesday afternoon while there’s still power. The winds are still gusting at around 50 miles per hour here and there, the back yard is a lake, we have a little water seepage in our living room by the patio door. And our hurricane shutters are still closed. It’s like living in a cave still…I can hear the winds howling out the window but as of a little after 4PM cst the rains have subsided to just a gentle mist if not at intervals it’s not raining at all. Most of the morning and all afternoon the computer was unplugged in case of power outages and lightning/thunderstorms off and on. The forecast calls for continuing winds gusting and intermittent showers throughout the evening, into Thursday morning and clearing by midday.

The North Shore beach here was literally washed away to sea. At one time a while ago, the very same area lost all of its beach sand because of tropical storms of the past –and the city eventually built it up. Guess that’s in the agenda soon, once again.

This morning, before the front hit us, Bud and I went out in the car and drove down to the downtown area along the coast…it was the only place that was still open to view the surf and watch the dark, ominous clouds move in. At that time it was reported that Dolly hadn’t made landfall yet [we were out and about around 9am] –it had rained here heavily at times since about 1am. Some of the main streets were already flooded.

Once we got to the section of downtown near the yacht club and t-head, we parked and just got out to watch the clouds rolling…literally rolling. It was eerie. And quite quiet. A few other fools daring souls were watching also. We decided to get back in the car and drive toward the Navy base and stop and watch there…it was DARK and black over in that direction. We made a “U turn” to get on the other side of Ocean Drive going toward the south —the direction of Brownsville, where the eye was going to hit.

We drove about a mile, mile and a half and then it hit us…we drove right into the storm! And I couldn’t see the front of the car let alone which lane I was in. So, forgot that idea and slowly [traveling about 10 miles an hour] we headed back toward our home….

Dolly took forEVER to hit land. Quite a bit of damage to South Padre Island and the town of Brownsville I understand. But, it could have been worse! Here, the beach access roads were closed as of Tuesday night. Which is good for safety’s sake.

I’ll share some photos that I took just before the storm hit us…..

This is by the seawall walkway and beach, looking toward the south –where Dolly was. Bayfront Hotel on the right. Doesn’t look to bad then….

And as I turn about-face from taking the photo above, this is on the other side of Shoreline Drive [the street is actually 6 lanes, but divided by a grass median/parks]. I thought this was quite serene looking during the coming storm building up around us. There seems to be an ‘aura’ around the steeple!!! In just the few seconds from one photo to the next shot…the skies darkened.

To the right of the church in the middle grassed median are palm trees…though they swayed some, it wasn’t yet a ‘full-force’ wind from the tropics at this time, but the sky continues to boil!

From the seawall walkway, I aimed the camera to the Gulf. The clouds were beginning to blacken now a lot [all within a 10 to 15 minute time period]. The waves are looking quite calm only ’cause this area has a man made breaker in the distance to ‘save’ the town from horrendous wave action. It worked, even tho Dolly was about 150 miles to the south, the winds were picking up. I’m sure at the closed beaches the surf was MUCH higher at this point. It’s very evident by the horizon how the frontal system is being pulled southerly toward the eye!!

Now this photo is looking a bit upwards from where I stood. Those dark, blackened clouds were swirling above and the wind whistled at this point. About then, I was checking the photos on my camera view lens to see what I got, and I noticed the photo and how part of the coastline is hidden in rain and fog…that’s when I said to Bud we should drive down toward that area. [more on this below]¹

While slowly driving behind someone creeping down the street, we were hit. We were hit BIG…drove right into the squall! After about 1/2 mile or so driving in this torrential downpour and visibility near nil, I slowly eased over toward the curbside lane to go the other direction…toward home. This was on Louisiana -a beautiful area off Ocean Drive with many older homes [I love this street], and with a center grassy boulevard. I could see somewhat better since the full rain force was blowing from behind us now. When I came to a stop at the light at Louisiana and Alameda, I took this through the windshield. It is looking a bit clear because the windshield wipers were swiping the rains off.

Footnote ¹ From the photos above, the fourth and fifth photos – you’re seeing part of the city landscape –if you enlarge the one with the bend jutting out into the sea [the fifth], you can see the fog/rain bank that we were driving through. The other one with the dark overhanging clouds? Well, let me tell you – After we drove safely home and got back into dry clothes, I turned on the Weather Channel; Dolly hadn’t hit land yet, it has stalled just off shore and built in intensity. Then, I switched over to a local station and watched the ‘news break’ informing everyone that there were several tornado formations spotted minutes ago…one was the exact spot where we stood below the black clouds!! Another tornado was seen near the airport and the path was heading in the direction of our home…but never touched ground that I heard. Also, just after we left the area, several power lines fell onto the streets we just traveled. And the underpass we used to get to the less traveled areas to get home…at the underpass just behind us…the light changed red and a guy slammed on his brakes, hydroplaning and hit another car…slamming that car into a road sign and the sign came through the windshield just missing his head!! Scary. Another, on interstate 37, highway wet…slick, another hydroplaning…smashing into the concrete median and flipped over. Golly. I can’t understand why people don’t slow down when the weather calls for a bit more common sense!!!

So, to end my long saga here, I’m plumb tuckered out from anxiety in a way, glad it’s over for this time until the next storm heads our way. Thursday sometime we’ll both be busy getting all the stuff from the garage we stored from the back yard, that could have been potential projectiles in the high winds, back outside to make room for the car. ROFL

This is the 2nd hurricane here that was too close. The other was Emily two years ago. And I remember one that our son was evacuated from Houston [hurricane Rita]- he came our way for a couple of days ’til the danger was over.

It’s a new month! And it’s time to highlight another blogger over 50! This time it’s Skittles! I’m sure quite a few know her in our world of blogs! She’s a sweetie! A grandmother, an ever-loving human being that is willing to share her inner most thoughts. I’ve always enjoyed visiting with her. Barb [aka Skittles] also hosts a weekly meme that I participate in, called, Heads or Tails. Sometimes she can make us really work and think hard at the prompt for the week. For me, other times, it’s so simple it hurts. But in any case, I enjoy her company a lot. And I appreciate that she works long hours on making a bit of fun in the blog-o-sphere for us who take up her challenge and we who participate have become friends.

For June 2008, Skittle’s Place is the highlighted blog/blogger!

Now, for the Show N Tell for the week – - -

To continue in the theme of Mother’s Day for the week, I thought I’d take out of storage some of my mother’s own cooking implements. Also, one item in the photo is from my Grandmother’s House.

    Left to right is:
1] My mother’s Hand Held Egg Beater
    2] Her Pie Crust Mixer
3] Above that is from my Grandmother’s House – this is the water dipper that was at the windmill spring I talked about my mom and my grandmother’s house on Monday [EVERYbody drank from the communal ladle and we all survived!!! How 'bout that?!]
4] In front of the Pie Crust mixer is her [I really don't know what you call it! LOL--But I do know for what it was used- it goes into one of the Mason Jars and she poured whatever she was canning into the hot jar before sealing it...this implement kept the food stuffs from spilling over the sides!]
5] To the right [near center] is her flour sifter!
6] To the right of the sifter and in front is her now antique can opener!
7] The open krinkly spoon [with the red handle] she’d use to “Fold Egg Whites” into a cake mix or what have you.
8] And last but not least is my mom’s meat grinder! Yes, she’d use this a lot. Making beef hash, or even at times she canned meats…venison, beef, pork…she was a good cook, and loved to can more than freeze foods.

Now they go back into storage for safe keeping for the next generation –Irene, some day will get these, I’m sure!

It’s time to highlight another Blogger Over 50.
And the award goes to “Going Like Sixty“!!

It’s an eclectic blog with many many things, ideas, thoughts and photos. I like the unique style of her writing…one particular thought [her monthly "aha moment"] recently was:

…Since all the fuss is about the price of Light Sweet Crude oil prices, shouldn’t we switch to Heavy, Bitter, Polite oil?
Humor, I love the fact that with the way the economy is, there are ways to deal with the situation. I never dreamed of polite oil tho…it’s a thought!!

April 22:
HEADS – Direction

:::ahem::: *stepping up on my podium*
:::tapping mike:::
“Can y’all hear me?”

My prize poem —

The way to a peaches ‘n’ cream complexion
is by following direction
and eat less confection!

Or, in time, the sad projection
would take you to Botox injection
which could cause a goodly infection!

So take a good look at your reflection
in the mirror …now, no rejection —
Do a thorough inspection
of your complexion
stay away from that sweet selection!

You’ll find that less confection
will give you and your complexion
a mutual affection!!!

:::finis:::
The crowd goes wild…
cheers from the peanut gallery.
Hootin’ Anni walks away as the director drags her off with his huge eviction cane–
Direction? Exit, stage left!!!

[you really have to know the American Cartoon, Snagglepuss to understand the 'exit stage left'. He always said that when he was in dire straits or needed to leave quickly for some reason. And his accent/voice over in the cartoon would help too.]

Here’s a You Tube of Snagglepuss Cartoon where he says “Exit, Stage left”. Turn up your volume.

Yesterday, I added the 100th MEMBER TO THE BLOGGERS OVER 50 BLOG ROLL.

edition #55

One of the most memorable, eye-opening, poignant, and tearful movies I’ve ever seen in my life still remains in my mind’s eye. The music, the story, the turmoil lingers still today. It’s haunting. It’s based on a true story. It’s biographical. It’s a war zone…torn country, and the bedlam and disquietude of one man’s life during his stint as an aide/interpreter to a New York Times Photographer and Writer, Sydney Schanberg. During the uprising of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. The aide is Dith Pran. Played by Haing S. Ngor.
The movie, Killing Fields, was in theaters in 1983-84. Nominated for Oscar’s Best Picture and winner of Best Supporting Actor [Haing S. Ngor], it carries us through the ordeal and strife of survival and the ugliness of war and people of the Khmer Rouge. It won Best Film through the BAFTA.
A couple of weeks ago, the REAL Dith Pran died. It was another moment in life where I stopped and contemplated what it was about. Again, the soundtrack still haunts my soul each time I hear it. The very end of the movie, the most tear-jerking segment…John Lennon’s song, “Imagine” plays during the last two or three minutes of the reunion….and well into the movie credits. I remember the silence of the theater. Everyone. EVERYONE was dumbfounded. We all remained in our seats. There wasn’t a sound to be heard and not one left til the screen turned black. And I also remember as the patrons left…we filed out in silent reverie. It was that profound. It begins with the group of photographers from America and around the world covering the war….the meeting of Dith Pran…the way he helped get Sydney ‘smuggled’ into an area for an exclusive coverage of an American coverup, the exile from Cambodia [including Pran's wife and family], his capture by the Khmer Rouge, his escape, death and killing fields….and lastly a reunion —and then, the Music:

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one.

It’s one movie I’ll never EVER forget.

Another note, Dith Pran died just weeks ago. But the man who played his character in the movie [the one you'll see in the movie stills], Haing S. Ngor, was murdered in his home in California years ago….a robbery that took place at his home…he was shot and killed.

This week for my Thursday Thirteen I took photo stills of the movie as I watched it one more time on the VHS we still have. [and it's still just as powerful as always]

…and #13 is a pencil sketch caricature of Pran/the actor pleading to the Khmer Rouge not to kill him. I drew this the very moment we got back from seeing the movie the first time.

And if you have an extra 2 hrs. 20 min. you can watch it online these days –

Watch “The Killing Fields” Movie

As most of you know, I started the Blog Roll for ‘senior bloggers’….bloggers over 50. It’s continuing to grow in membership. Nearly 100 last count. AND there is one particular blog that has really captured my attention [not that it's the ONLY one]…it’s just a new blog recently added. It’s just days old and I’ve visited a couple of times already and I’m truly in awe of his work! It’s photography…and I’ve enjoyed my short visits. This is one of many that I plan to ‘highlight’. His Blog is Vital Muse….

Then, keep on the lookout for other blogs highlighted in the future!!!

I’ve also started a list of winners on the Bloggers Over 50 Sidebar.
