Well, around 2 pm Tuesday afternoon, it was about this close [insert an 'nth' measurement of two fingers]!!! I was sure it would rain! I went out and listened to the thunder, watched the dark clouds building, the insufferable heat; a rise in temperature even from the mid 90s that it was already. The hot air washed around my face, and I could almost smell moisture! Went in the house and unplugged the computer all to the thrill of hearing a ‘big boom’ of more thunder clapping above my roof. The house became still, the air was still….it darkened indoors too. Thundering continuously. But, alas, the storm drifted off to the west of us, blackening the horizon and the thunder slowly subsided. Much to my dismay. No rain still in our ‘neck of the woods’. But at least there remains a potential. In the next day maybe? Or the next. Definitely before the weekend!!! [now insert crossed fingers] It rained somewhere close by tho, the temp went from mid 90s to 75 in no time.
